So I thought I would shake the blog up a bit by sharing a recipe that I like. In fact, I made it fresh just for you! I wish you were here to taste it!
This is a cucumber salad recipe from Paula Deen.
Ingredients:
2 Cucumbers (peeled and sliced thin)
1 tsp. salt (I used sea salt instead of regular salt)
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. mayo
1/4 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. dill weed
dash of pepper
Peel your cucumbers and then soak them on a paper towel.
Slice them and then put back on the paper towel. This gets out all the extra water so that your salad won’t be runny.
Place them in a bowl and then add the salt and vinegar (I used red vinegar but white vinegar is fine):
Next add the sour cream, mayo, dill and black pepper:
And speaking of great recipes, the wife of a good friend of mine has just published a cookbook!!! It’s full of wonderful recipes! If you get a chance, please take a look and if you like what you see, please support her by purchasing a copy. It’s called Cooking from the Heart. She’s an amazing cook so you won’t be sorry if you get a copy!
If you do happen to purchase the books, please use the link above. Other online sellers have the wrong copy of the book (it’s a long story).
Well, until next time garden gals and guys.
Happy gardening!
Yum. You did it again, kiddo!
