Hey there garden gals and guys! Yes, it’s been a while since my last post. I noticed I have three new followers to my blog! Welcome, welcome to you all! I am glad that you’ve joined my little piece of fat earth!
Now that I have properly welcomed my newest garden buddies, let me just say that my garden is frustrating me just a little. One of my cucumber plants bit the dust and it looks as if the other will as well. Thankfully, I was able to harvest a handful of cukes and I even added one to my salad last night. Quite tasty!
I will be thankful for what I do have: a handful of cukes, two little cherry maters, two green peppers, some banana peppers and some collards.
Here’s a pik of the garden now. This is only the left side. I have to get back out there and tend to it a bit, so this blog is gonna be short and sweet.
Usually my garden is much more prolific by this time of year. I’m not sure if I’ll make it to the farmers market after all. But if not, my family and I will enjoy whatever God decides to provide from the land.
Yeah, this garden blog isn’t as upbeat as all the rest. But that’s gardening…you grow some, you lose some!
Until next time ya’ll!
Happy gardenin’!
Girl… it's been crazy hot. I have okra and cherry tomatoes. That's about it. My peppers are taking FOREVER! Looking good over there with you though… keep up the good work.
o.k. audra, i got it now. love your posts. hoping your veggies get hopping and grow enough so you can get them to the market becuse i know you love sellng them. if not, like you said. it's all for your family.
We live in Glen Burnie also and our garden isn't doing as hot as usual this year either. We were a bit late but we haven't gotten any cukes yet or hot peppers. We have gotten a lot of greenbeans and our cherry tomatoes just came in this week! All of my snappeas bit the dust and I was most excited about them. 🙁 There is always next year!
Mindy, I don't have any hot peppers either. I know peppers and tomatoes are heat-loving plants, but I think this is just too much heat.
My snap peas got eaten by rabbits before I could get them into my garden cage. I may try some for the fall.
