Hello Garden Gals and Guys!!!! Welcome back to the Fat Earth Backyard Farm. This is post number 97 and I am so excited to be so close to post 100. I’ve got some great information for you so let’s just get to it.
First up is biodegradable pots. These are said to be great for the environment. That may be true, but if you plan to put these straight into the ground with your plants inside, be sure to tear away the bottom before planting. They don’t always completely degrade and I had several plants last year that suffered from stunted growth because they became root bound when the pot didn’t break down.

And now for a little bit on my baby chicks. They have almost all of their feathers now and they are getting SO big!
