Howdy doo Garden Gals and Guys! Welcome back to Fat Earth! I guess you might be wondering what the title of this post means. Well, I’ve been weighing my produce as I harvested to keep track of how much food I grow. Yesterday, after my latest harvest I decided to tally the numbers. So far this summer, I have harvested 39.8 pounds of food! That’s awesome! That number may seem small when compared to other gardeners and farmers, but considering the crop failures I have had this year, that’s a pretty decent number….AND….I still have my future harvests of my fall garden to add to this number.

Needless to say, I’m pretty excited…and pretty darn proud of myself! Yep. I’m a happy farmer!

Here is my latest harvest from yesterday. First up, a pound of collards! Yummy!

Next up, over four pounds of cukes, 2 pounds of zukes, and a little over 2 pounds of maters.

Now to pull out this pressure canner I got on Craigslist and my Ball canning book and preserve some things for the winter!
Well, that’s all for now garden gals and guys! Until next time….

Happy gardening!!!
